An exploration of Greek culture across the Eastern Mediterranean.

Introduction to Ancient Rome - Sidney Walter Centre, Sussex Road, Worthing
(parking available) - each course 1.30pm to 4.30pm

These four core courses will provide the basics for those unfamiliar with this fascinating civilisation and as a necessary background for Out & About with the Romans.
History and politics - 5 November 2011
Poetry/literature/drama - 19 November 2011
Architecture and town planning - 3 December 2011
Painting and sculpture - 17 December 2011

Out and About with the Romans - Sidney Walter Centre, Sussex Road, Worthing
(parking available) - each course 1.30pm to 4.30pm

These five courses will expand upon the introductory topics to explain how the Romans influenced, and were influenced by, local cultures using case studies from five selected provinces.
Egypt - 14 January 2012
Africa - 18 February2012
Asia - 10 March 2012
Syria - 14 April 2012
Britain- 12 May 2012

Course Fees (including refreshments): £15 per class Enrol for more than one class: £13 per class
Book all 4 Introduction courses: £50. Book all five Out & About courses:£60
Registration must be confirmed no later than 10 days before class date.
If fewer than 8 register, then unfortunately the class may be cancelled.
